Mission Work
Belize, Romania, Kenya, Mississippi? What do these have to do with Russellville Baptist?
They are all places in which our people have journeyed to share the love and hope of Christ with others.
In Belize through the ‘Hearts Of Christ Ministries’ our people sponsor school children who could not attend school without their help. Upwards of sixty school children are provided
school supplies, uniforms, and other needs by the people of Russellville. Many of our folks travel to Belize each year to distribute food and school supplies to needy families.
Most important of all, they share the ‘Good News’ of Christ’s salvation.
Teams from our church have traveled to Romania several times over the last few years to work with the Romanian Gypsies in the outlying villages. We prayer walk, witness, encourage,
pass out shoes to needy children, and worship with the Roma while building relationships that will last for eternity. Some of our men have helped with the construction of their churches and
needed facilities.
Disaster relief efforts in Mississippi and Louisiana are a part of our Association’s missions. Russellville joins in with manpower as well as providing resources and supplies to help
those struck by Hurricane Katrina.
Some of our folk have joined in with other mission teams to provide medical relief to Kenya. All in all, the bottom line is, Russellville Baptist believes in missions. We do not give it lip service, we go and we give so that others may know Jesus.
